Gymshark Element Compression Leggings

I love hitting the gym, it’s quite scary how much I enjoy it but I love the good feeling you get afterwards knowing you’re doing your body good. My problem is overheating; I always find my legs overheat in my current leggings because there more like winter leggings, so I thought it’s time to invest and I then I found Gymshark.

These are the Gymshark Element Compression Leggings and they are, putting it simply, amazing. I discovered Gymshark through watching one of my recently found YouTube loves, Nikki Blackketter, now this girl she knows how to work out I watch one of her videos and I instantly put down that donught and want to hit the gym. I’ve seen a lot of hype around Gymshark and in particular these leggings, so I thought if they’re going to do all these wonderful things that they say they will, why not put them to the test.

Not only are these leggings super comfy, they do feel like they offer support to your legs, they keep the sweat off your body and keep you in, they don’t slide down or roll over the stomach area when bending or stretching forward, which is my usual pet hate with leggings. They are made out of a dry fit material composition and have extra quick sweat wicking fabric, so you stay dryer for longer and don't end up drenched in sweat which is bad for your skin.

These are super resilient leggings, I usually get a few scuffs on my leggings because I like to put them through their paces whilst working out but nothing phases these leggings, I think personally due to the quality of the material. These leggings have fibre retention which means that no matter how many times you wash them or if your body shape is constantly changing these leggings will be able to keep up.

Top Tip: Through Nikki Blackketter you can get 10% off your Gymshark order by entering the discount code nikki10 (this will automatically take 10% off your order, which was a bonus for me).

  1. I'm 5'4" and most leggings are too long for me! How are these length wise? X

    1. Hi Meg, I'm 5'6" and found these leggings to be a nice fit, there not too long but you have enough material for good movement when working out - I think these would fit you perfectly as they are a very snug fit. I hope this helps x

  3. Hi! I just bought these and found that they are extremely see through! especially my butt when I bend over or do squats, even in the knee areas when i bend my knees. Also, no, it is not because I bought too small of a size. they fit perfectly, even a bit looser than I'd prefer. Just wondering if you have the same issues? Is this normal with them, or did I get a defective pair?!

    1. Hi Julia, oh dear! I noticed they can be ever so slightly see through around the bum area but I always wear darker underwear with legggings anyway, so this didn't partiulary phase me. I haven't noticed them being see through around my knees at all, but I have a size Medium and found that I can kind of pull the material around my knees and bum area to make it thicker.
If your really not happy with them I would suggest maybe raising the issue with Gymshark and see if they can send you out a replacement pair to compare to your current ones. I hope this helps x

    1. I got a Medium in these leggings and am a UK size 10/12, and they fit very comfterably without chaffing anywhere. (in the Nike Pro 3/4 lengths I'm a size Medium also) I hope this helps Z x

  6. Are these see through? I bought the new, coral ones, and they're SO see through! I barely bend over and you can see my entire white butt!! Lol! I'm thinking of going to a seamstress and asking to have a lining added so that I can still be comfortable and not have to wear shorts under because that's really uncomfortable. I'm so disappointed in the quality of these leggings, and I LOVE gymshark.

    1. Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that, I hate it when a product isn't what you expect it to be!!
These particular ones arn't but they have changed manufacturer, which might be why they've gone slightly more see through. The lining idea sounds perfect just make sure you don't pay out too much for it! I hope Gymshark hear your concern and up there game for you x
